Derek & The Dominos - Layla

The original recording of Layla, made famous by Eric Clapton’s solo version. Note: Clapton was in this band also. I guess he was Derek? Anyway, I’m always amazed to find out a song I love wasn’t an original recording, as was the case here. This version sounds like a completely different song, which is great.

Bought the album it’s off (Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs) on vinyl recently, only to get it home and find one of the records missing. Rookie mistake.
